We're excited to introduce Roles and Permissions — a new feature that gives System and Network Admins granular control over what roles can access and do within each system. [LEARN MORE]
This update replaces the legacy 'Role Alias' model with a powerful, role-based permission system that supports:
- Custom role creation using base Role Templates (Administrator, Coach, Mentee).
- Permission control across key platform features (e.g., Observations, Learning Paths, Reporting, Data Forms, Goals, etc.).
- The ability to masquerade as users in your System for troubleshooting.
- Dynamic permission visibility based on System Tier (Basic, Premium, Enterprise) and Add-On configurations.
- Full audit logging of role changes, permission edits, and user assignments.
This enhancement also lays the foundation for improved security, compliance (including HIPAA HS alignment), and organizational flexibility across the Talent platform.

We've also introduced a cleaner, more refined top navigation bar to the Talent webpage! With this redesign comes a variety of subtle changes:

The Quick Actions Menu, once represented with a 'lightning bolt icon' is now the '+ New' button.
The 'Upload' button has now been replaced with a 'cloud icon.'
Coaching Corner now has a dropdown listing each of its sections out for quick reference and easier navigation.
