How to award a Digital Certificate to a user for completing a Learning Path Module or Course (Admin)
As an Admin, you can assign specific Digital Certificate Templates to award users who complete specific modules or courses in your system. Once those templates have been created, you can then enable specific Learning Path modules and/or courses in your system to award assigned digital certificates for completion!
Certificate Templates for Modules
To enable a specific Learning Path module to award a digital certificate upon completion, first locate the module in your Modules Management tab. Once you have located the module, click on its '...' icon and select 'Review/Edit.' This will open the module's Edit view.
Once inside the module, click on its 'Settings' tab. Then scroll down to its Awards section. To enable the module to award a certificate, click the toggle for 'This Module awards a certificate' to display as GREEN/ON.
If you would like for your module to award a set amount of Units, enter a numeric value above.
To display the units on your certificate, click the toggle for 'Show earned units' to display as GREEN/ON.
Starting out, your certificate for this module will displays as the Default Certificate for Modules assigned in your system. To assign a specific certificate template to a module, click on the dropdown list and select a different template.
If you would like to modify the certificate template currently selected, click the 'View template' option to immediately be routed to the specific template in the Learning Paths settings of your system's Management Panel.
You can also use the text editor below your digital certificate selection to add extra details about the Learning Path to the certificate. These details may include course ID numbers, training levels, or credit information that your organization requires for the completion of the module.
All of your details will automatically display in the preview of the template further down the Module's Settings page.
Certificate Templates for Courses
To enable a specific Learning Paths course to award a digital certificate upon completion of all modules within, first locate the course in your Modules Management tab. Once you have located the course, click on its '...' icon and select 'Edit.' This will open the course's Edit view.
Once inside the module, click on its 'Settings' tab. Then scroll down to its Course Outcomes section. To enable the module to award a certificate, click the toggle for 'This Course awards a certificate' to display as GREEN/ON.
To display the cumulative units awarded for completing the course on your certificate, click the toggle for 'Show earned units' to display as GREEN/ON.
Starting out, your certificate for this module will displays as the Default Certificate for Courses assigned in your system. To assign a specific certificate template to a module, click on the dropdown list and select a different template.

Scroll past the preview image of your course certificate to modify the Award Criteria. Here you can designate which specific modules within the course need to be completed in order to award the digital certificate. By default, this will be set to 'Select All.'
Otherwise, you can choose to award a digital certificate if a set amount of units have been awarded in completing the completing the course, or you can choose to award a certificate if a set amount of modules have been completed.
