How to clear your web browser's cache

Sometimes your web browser can become congested with old temporary files stored in its cache. Your web browser's cache is a storage bin that stores temporary copies of webpages and images to more readily load websites again when you revisit them. Clearing this out can better help to ensure you are loading the latest version of our website!

Below we have provided specific instructions on how to clear your web browser's cache, depending on the web browser you use:

 

Google Chrome

  1. Click the 'three-dot' icon in the top-right corner of your web browser.
  2. In the dropdown that displays, click 'History.' And in the subsequent dropdown from there, click 'History.'
  3. Go to 'Delete browsing data' on the left-side panel.
  4. Check ONLY 'Cached images and files.'
  5. And select 'All Time' as the date range.
  6. Click 'Delete data.'
  7. Then go to your TORSH Talent webpage again and refresh your web browser via the 'refresh icon' in the top, left-hand corner of your web browser.

 

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click the ‘three stripes’ icon in the top-right corner of your web browser.
  2. Select ‘Settings' in the dropdown menu.
  3. Go to ‘Privacy & Security' on the left-side panel.
  4. Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data, and click ‘Clear Data.’
  5. Check ONLY 'Temporary cached files and pages.'
  6. Click ‘Clear.’
  7. Then go to your TORSH Talent webpage again and refresh your web browser via the 'refresh icon' in the top, left-hand corner of your web browser.

 

Microsoft Edge

  1. In your browser, click the ‘three dot’ icon in the top right corner.
  2. Select ‘Settings' in the dropdown menu.
  3. Click ‘Privacy, search, and services' on the left-side panel.
  4. Under ‘Clear browsing data,’ click ‘Choose what to clear.’
  5. Select the time range you want to clear at the top. In this case, try the biggest date range available. It may appear as ‘All Time.’
  6. Check ONLY 'cached images and files.'
  7. Click ‘Clear now.’
  8. Then go to your TORSH Talent webpage again and refresh your web browser via the 'refresh icon' in the top, left-hand corner of your web browser.

 

Safari

  1. In your browser, click 'Safari' at the very top navigation bar of your Macbook. 
  2. In the dropdown menu, click 'Settings.'
  3. On the Settings pop-up, click 'Advanced.'
  4. Under Advanced, scroll down to the very bottom and check off 'Show features for web developers.' This will display the 'Develop' menu as an option for you in your top navigation bar now.
  5. Click 'Develop' in the top navigation bar of your Macbook.
  6. In the dropdown menu, click 'Empty caches.'
  7. Then go to your TORSH Talent webpage again and click on the address bar. This will display your refresh icon. Click on your refresh icon in your address bar.
