How to organize your Saved Reports in Report Builder

Within Report Builder, you can organize your custom reports in a variety of ways, including sorting, favoriting, and distributing your reports across folders and subfolders!

Sorting Saved Reports

In your Saved Reports, you'll find each custom report you've created on its own individual row. The list of Saved Reports is further sorted into individual columns by the report Title, data Type, and the Created date.

You can sort your Saved Reports, by clicking on the up-and-down arrow icons found in Title column header. Click once to sort in Ascending (A-Z) order and again to sort in Descending (Z-A) order. Doing so will disregard your selected favorite reports.

 

 

 

Favoriting Saved Reports

You can further designate which Saved Reports are your favorites by clicking the 'star icon' across from each listing. Doing so will send the listing to the first page of your saved reports in alphabetical order! This can be useful if you have some reports you return to more than others, making your return to this data that much more efficient.

 

 

 

  • Folders for Saved Reports

    You can also organize your Saved Reports into folders and subfolders! 

     

    To create a Folder:

    1. First, create a folder by clicking the 'New Folder' button in the top, right-hand corner of your Saved Reports.
       
       
    2. In the pop-up that appears, give your folder a title. Then click 'Create Folder.'
       
       
    3. Your folder will appear at the top of your Saved Reports. It will be unaffected by title sorting and cannot be favorited.
       

       

      To create a Subfolder:

      1. To create subfolder, find your folder listing in your Saved Reports. Then click its '...' icon and select 'Create Subfolder' from the dropdown.

         


         

      2. In the pop-up that appears, give your subfolder a title. Then click 'Create Subfolder.'

         


         

      3. Your original folder will now have a subfolder listed inside of it! Subfolders are indicated by a slight indent underneath the folder they are listed within.

         

       

      To add a Saved Report to a Folder:

      1. First, find the report you would like to add to your folder. Click on the 'group icon' on the left-side of the report title and drag it on top of the folder you would like the report to reside in.
      2. Drop the report into the folder, and it will now appear under the folder listing whenever you click on it.
         

       

      To add a Saved Report to a Subfolder:

      1. If you would like to save the report inside of a subfolder, first display the subfolder by clicking on the folder above it in hierarchy.
      2. Next, find the report you would like to add to your subfolder. Click on the 'group icon' on the left-side of the report title and drag it on top of the subfolder you would like the report to reside in.
      3. Drop the report into the subfolder, and it will now appear under the subfolder listing whenever you click on it.
         

       

      To remove a Saved Report from a Folder/SubFolder:

      1. To remove a Saved Report from a folder or subfolder, first open the folder/subfolder with your report inside.
      2. Then click on the 'group icon' to the left-side of the report title. Drag it down to the bottom of your Saved Reports list where you'll find a 'Move to Root' box.
      3. Drop the report into the 'Move to Root' box, and your report will display once more amongst your Saved Reports, now outside of the folder it was in.
         

       

      To remove a Subfolder from a Folder:

      1. If you would like to remove a subfolder from a folder in order to make a regular Folder, first open the Folder that houses the subfolder.
      2. On the right-side of the subfolder, click on its '...' icon and select 'Move to Root.' This will remove the Subfolder from the folder it is currently in and place it as its own Folder listing.
         

       

      To delete a Folder/SubFolder:

      1. If you would like to delete a folder or subfolder, first locate the folder at the top of your Saved Reports list. Click on its '...' icon and select 'Delete Folder.'
