How to record video for TORSH Talent on your computer

While we do provide a 'Record Video' tool on the non-HIPAA TORSH Talent website, this feature is best for short recordings, as it requires a strong and stable internet connection to record. Recording video through this tool will not record a copy to your device, so it best advised to use a separate application for recording videos longer than 5 minutes.

For the most optimal experience of recording video via your desktop computer/laptop, we highly recommend using the native camera app on your computer (Camera on Windows PC; QuickTime Player on Mac).

Recording on Windows

  1. In the Windows search box, type 'Camera.'
  2. Select the 'Camera app.'
  3. In the Camera app, click on the 'video icon' to start capturing via your computer's webcam.
  4. When you are done recording, click the 'stop button.' The recorded webcam video will now be saved on your Windows PC.
  5. You can then visit the Talent website and click 'Upload' to select your video file on your computer and upload to the platform!

Recording on Mac

  1. Click the 'Finder' option in your Dock. In your Finder window, click 'Applications.'
  2. Select the 'QuickTime Player' app. A new Finder window will appear. You can ignore this window.
  3. Next, click 'File' from your top menu bar and choose 'New Movie Recording' from the dropdown list.
  4. A camera window will appear. Click the 'record icon' to record your video.
  5. When you are done recording, click the 'stop button.' The recorded webcam video will now be saved on your Mac computer.
  6. You can then visit the Talent website and click 'Upload' to select your video file on your computer and upload to the platform!

We also highly recommend using the TORSH Talent Mobile app on your Android/iOS mobile phone or tablet. If you are interested in learning more, click here .
