What are Sharing Permissions?

Sharing Permissions designate the level of permissions specific users/groups are allowed when viewing a specific artifact or form on the TORSH Talent platform. Depending on the sharing permission given to you for a specific video, file, or form you may have a higher or lower amount of modification access when it is shared with you.

Sharing Permissions for Videos & Files

  • Low - The user with whom you share can only provide feedback and add documents.
  • Medium - The user with whom you share can provide feedback, add documents, and share the video with others; the other users can only provide feedback and add documents.
  • High - In addition to providing feedback on your video, a user with High permissions can: create a duplicate of all or a portion of your video, which they will then own and can use however they wish; add documents to your video; export notes from your video; download your video; and add/edit tags on your video.

Sharing Permissions for Observations

Observation forms can be shared with a variety of different permission levels to allow for a more collaborative experience. However, in most cases, you should only need to select View Permissions for the users you share observations with. Any other permission will grant others access to further modify your rubric.

  • View - The user with whom you share with can only view the observation form. Share with others as 'View' if the form is about them or if you would like them to only see the form and not have Edit access.
  • Edit - The user with whom you share with can edit form fields and unpublish and modify your observation form as needed. Users with 'Edit' permission can then share with others at 'View' permission.
  • Manage - The user with whom you share with now has full access to edit fields (add responses), modify settings, and share with others in the system at any level.

Sharing Permissions for Self Assessments

Self Assessments can only be shared at View Permissions, as they are forms filled out by the individual user for themselves and thus should not require management and modification from others in your system.

  • View - The user with whom you share with can only view the self assessment. Share with others as 'View' if you would like for them to have access to see the self assessment you completed.

Sharing Permissions for Data Forms

Data Forms can be shared with a variety of different permission levels to allow for a more collaborative experience. However, in most cases, you may only need to select View Permissions for the users you share data forms with. Any other permission will grant others access to further modify your data form.

  • View - The user with whom you share with can only view the data form. Share with others as 'View' if the form is about them or if you would like them to not have any Edit access to the form.

Sharing Permissions for Goals

Goals can be shared with a variety of different permission levels to allow for a more collaborative experience. However, in most cases, you may only need to select View Permissions for the users you share goals with. Any other permission will grant others access to further modify your created goal.

  • View - The user with whom you share with can only view the goal. Share with others as 'View' if the goal is about them or if you would like them to not have any Edit access to the form.
  • Edit - The user with whom you share with can edit all fields of the goal and can add further Action Steps. Users with 'Edit' permission can then share with others at 'View' permission. Edit permission users cannot modify the progress of the goal.
  • Manage - The user with whom you share with now has full access to all edit fields of the goal, can add further Action Steps, and can modify progress and settings for the goal as if they were the author. They can share with others at any level.
