Why does my video upload appear as Pending on the website?
When a video appears with a 'Pending' video thumbnail on the TORSH Talent website, it typically means that the upload reached our servers but is still processing. That being said, there are situations wherein this is not the case. Please read each possible 'Pending' occurrence below to learn more:
1. Your Video Upload Is Processing
If you open the Pending video on the website version of Talent and see that it is Encoding video for playback...., then your video has successfully uploaded! Right now, it is in the second step of the upload process and will need a short period of time to finish processing to the platform to become viewable. Due to extra security measures, the encoding process can take longer on our HIPAA secure platform.
To learn more about the upload process and its steps, please read this Help Center article here .
2. Your Video Upload Failed To Process

The video file will need to be re-uploaded. TORSH Talent mobile app Video & Files'gear icon''Upload Another Copy.'website version of TORSH Talent'Upload'
3. Your Video Upload Has Failed
If your TORSH Talent mobile app upload appears as Pending for a prolonged amount of time (one hour or more) on the website version of Talent, and when you open the video on the website, it appears with a generic 'Uploading' message, it means that your video upload in the mobile app did not fully process due to a slight interruption in internet connection, and the upload has failed.
4. Your Video Upload Was Interrupted
If the video upload in the TORSH Talent mobile app appears with the status 'Location: Mobile & Web' or 'Location: Web' but still appears on the website version of Talent as Pending for several hours or more, please follow the steps below to restart your upload:
-
First, open your TORSH Talent mobile app and login. Tap on the 'menu icon' in the top, left-hand corner. Then tap 'Videos & Files.'
-
On your Videos & Files page, find the video file you originally attempted to upload. You will notice that the video has an uploaded status of 'Location: Mobile & Web' or 'Location: Web' as if it has fully uploaded. Tap on its 'gear icon.'
-
In the menu for this upload, tap 'Upload Another Copy.' Keep the mobile app open until the upload completes. Until your video has completed the upload process, the TORSH Talent mobile app must sustain a strong WiFi connection. Make sure that the progress percentage reaches 100% and that the video's status changes to 'Location: Mobile & Web' or 'Location: Web.'
If you have multiple videos appearing as Pending on the website, allow the first upload to completely process. Then move on to the next. Repeat these steps for each upload, making sure you are only uploading only one video at a time.
